How do I install numbers / letters on a batten fence?

There are a few considerations when mounting numbers or letters to a batten fence. The fixing points for the rods at the back of the numbers/letters are at irregular points, which may or may not line up with the batten part of the fence rather than the gap. Depending on the size of the number, there may be 2-4 fixing rods.

What we have done in the past with batten fences is to still supply 2-4 rods, however drill 4-8 holes so you have options for mounting. On the drilling template we provide, you will see the location of all holes and then choose the ones that work best with your fence.

Additionally, we normally supply 50mm non-threaded rods. If you can easily access the back of your fence, we can supply 100mm threaded rods with nuts and washers (at no extra cost).

If you would like us to drill the additional holes and include extra-long rods, then please add the following message in the 'Order Notes' section when you check out on the website: Extra long rods, nuts and washers, plus extra holes for batten fence.
