What is a floating house number?

A floating house number uses rods and spaces affixed to the back of the number to achieve an effect where the number appears to float when viewed from front on.

This achieves an appealing shadow line effect, and helps the number achieve a contrast against the mounted surface.

As our numbers are 8mm thick aluminium, we're able to drill small holes in to the back of the number where rods are inserted. This means that the front of the number does not show any exposed screws.
